2006-12-10 [Firenze]: I live in a Neighbourhood and I live in Devon, England. So you can't really say that there aren't really neighbourhoods in Britain. Besides the definition of a neighbourhood is is a geographically localised community located within a larger city, town or suburb. But in short it is photos of the area you live in, basically on the street you live on. Not entire cities, villages or towns.

2006-12-10 [Hedda]: The idea is that you should take some pictures around where you live. If that is a military base in Iraq, a little village or the forest around your house doesn't matter.

Well, except that you might not be allowed to take pictures of the military base...

2006-12-10 [Hedda]: So if you take pictures of your entire city and call that your neighbourhoud, I don't see a big problem with that. But the idea is to take pictures of something new. The 100 000th photo-page about London photos is just another page. But a page about a more specific address is more likely something new.

2006-12-10 [Big Brother]: windows XP has winzip built in, just select the images (highlight the ones you want), right click, and press "add to changingname.zip" or "add to archive" it's almost standard on XP to have that in the right click menu

All the bushes are square, all the flowers are pink. I have pictures of all those already. All I'm saying is: it is a difficult thing to do an album contest on.

2006-12-10 [Firenze]: Well that is pretty much what it is like here where I live, it all depends on where you live, I think depending on the weather tomorrow I could have 20+ photos of the neighbourhood that I live in. There is variety on each different road people live on, all neighbourhoods are different.

I personally think this is an easy topic to do an album contest on.

I personally still think it's easier to create and upload a ZIP-file, but it might not be for everyone.

But genererally I think it would be pretty hard to find your house if you take pictures of the village. Of course a real stalker would go to that village and hang out there until you're found, but... Well, go to Amsterdam, [Sunrose] has been seen there!

2007-02-07 [Hedda]: [beautiful _ darkness]: I think a few of the images are a little too shaky, but the biggest problem is that there are no comments and that the images aren't arranged. You can for example write "<img500:" instead of "<img:" and you'll get a better format on the page.

2007-02-16 [Polar ♥]: Yeah, tripods are the best inventions ever for shaky people. I have one that folds up. Its about a foot long, but extends to almost 4 and a half feet. Really nice. I'd look into that if you're really interested in photography.

That's why these votings get interesting: It's never the "best" one that win or come at a good place. It's the submission that most people like. Which pretty often is something many people hate, or think is pretty far out (in a good or bad way).
